Arrival Cairo, meet and assist at Cairo International airport through customs and formalities. Transfer to hotel, and overnight.
Day 2 – Pyramids & Egyptian Museum.
In the morning, after a delicious buffet breakfast, we will stand in awe of the Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and see first-hand the mysterious lion-headed Sphinx.
Afternoon, visit the amazing Egyptian Museum. For those who are shoppers, we will visit a boutique which makes and sells original papyrus paintings, the oldest paper in the world.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 – Cairo Historic Churches and Mosque
After a good night’s rest, we will visit a Church where the Holy Family stayed during their flight into Egypt and also one of the oldest Christian Churches in the world (the Coptic Hanging Church). Then we will ascend the hills to tour the beautiful Mohammed Ali Mosque. View the City of the Dead on our way there. We may have time to stop at a perfume manufacturer to smell the oriental perfumes and shop.
Over night in Cairo.
Day 4 —Cairo / St. Catherine
After a full buffet breakfast,
We will drive through the desert and under the Suez Canal, stopping at Moses bitter springs of Mara, to arrive at St. Catharine at the foot of the majestic Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Here we will have supper and an overnight stay at St. Catharine.
Day 5 —Climbing Mount Sinai & Departure
If you wish, you may climb Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments to see the glory of this holy place at sunrise. Time permitting; we will visit St. Catherine’s Monastery.
After lunch, we will cross the Red Sea by ferry boat to Jordan or drive to Taba to cross to Israel.
